The Brooklyn Nets (27-13) visit the Indiana Pacers (17-21) Wednesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse for a 7 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we analyze the Nets-Pacers odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.
Brooklyn won its fifth straight game Monday, and has won 13 out of its last 14 while going 11-3 against the spread. The Nets beat the New York Knicks 117-112 Monday but failed to cover the spread as 8.5-point home favorites.
This is Indiana’s only home game sandwiched between six road games. The Pacers lost their previous game 121-106 at the Denver Nuggets Monday. Indiana is in the midst of a slump, losing seven of its last 10 games and going 2-8 ATS.
The Nets demolished the Pacers in their first regular-season meeting a lot worse than the 104-94 final score indicates. Brooklyn held a 62-30 lead at the end of the first half and attempted 24 more free throws in the game.

Nets at Pacers: Odds, lines, predictions and picks
Pacers 120, Nets 115
Money line (ML)
PASS even though I think Indiana covers the spread. The Pacers (+140) don’t offer a big enough haul to take them against the juggernaut Nets.
Let’s stick with the spread.
Against the spread (ATS)
The Nets-Pacers should be dubbed the LeVert Revenge Game since this is the first game for Indiana’s recently acquired SG Caris LeVert against his former team where played his first four-and-a-half seasons.
LeVert was Indiana’s return from its involvement in the James Harden trade, which included four teams and the Pacers parting ways with SG Victor Oladipo.
LeVert made his Pacers debut two games ago after being out since early January due to left kidney carcinoma. His return to action is much needed by the Pacers.
Indiana lacked ball handlers that could create their own shot and that’s exactly what LeVert does. The Pacers played two top-10 3-point defenses in their last two games (Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets) and Indiana shot 42.9% from deep, largely due to the attention LeVert commands.
A big component of betting the NBA in the regular season is finding the teams that have the motivation edge, which is clear in this game. TAKE PACERS +3.5 (-110) for a half-unit.
These teams have a combined 48-29-1 O/U record on the season and defense doesn’t figure to play much of a role in this Nets-Pacers matchup.
Indiana takes the most shots per game within five feet of the basket and Brooklyn is ranked 27th in points in the paint allowed per game.
We are getting to this number a little late since the sharps steamed the total up from the 229.5-point opener to its current price, but there’s still some value in the OVER 233.5 (-110).
I’d only make a small wager on it though since we are late to the party.
