The offense was also very productive. They ended up scoring 4.91 runs per game which were 7th best in baseball.

The Southsiders hit 190 home runs which were 19th best overall.

Houston Astros

Similar to the White Sox, the Astros had a very strong 2021 season and they were one of the better teams in the American League.

Chicago White Sox vs. Houston Astros MLB Prediction:

To me, this is one of the more entertaining games of the playoffs. You have two teams that are very evenly matched and they both have similar strengths. I expect this to be a good one.

As mentioned above, I feel these teams are about even, but I do give the edge to the Astros. I feel they have more firepower up and down their lineup and I like the fact that they are at home. On the pitching side of things, I give the slight edge to the White Sox.

Giolito vs. Valdez is a very appealing pitcher’s duel. I feel that the Valdez will be able to contain that potent offense of Chicago and the Astros will do enough against Giolito to get a win.

I like the Astros as home favorites here.
