Money line (ML)
The SEC was clearly a better conference than the PAC-12 this season, so with Oregon State winning the conference tournament, it doesn’t say much.
The Beavers are, however, used to playing as underdogs, as they were 9-9 this past season in that scenario and were 3-0 in neutral sites. That said, Tennessee was favored in all but one game and went 18-7 that way.
The -450 tag is just too expensive to bet. PASS on the money line.
Against the spread (ATS)
Tennessee was not as good against the spread, going 13-12-1 ATS and the Beavers were 18-9-1 and covered the spread in 10 of their final 11 games.
Expect a classic crazy first-round game with the favorite pulling out the win in the end but it will be close. Take OREGON STATE +8.5 (-110).
The Beavers’ last six games all went Over. They went Over in 17 of their games this season. Tennessee was 11-15 O/U.
With the low total, take OVER 130.5 (-115).
