Oklahoma football’s Trejan Bridges and Seth McGowan suspended for alleged involvement in robbery, per reports

Oklahoma wide receiver Trejan Bridges and running back Seth McGowan have been suspended by the University of Oklahoma athletic department for their alleged involvement in a robbery.

On Friday evening, SI Sooners’ John Hoover first reported that two unnamed players were allegedly involved in a police incident on Thursday night that resulted in their suspension.

Now, SoonerScoop’s Carey Murdock was able to identify the two players in question as Bridges and McGowan.

In Hoover’s initial report, this was the statement he received by the OU athletic department on the matter:

“We are aware of a matter that may involve OU student-athletes and are monitoring the situation closely,” the OU athletic department told SI Sooners in a statement. “The student-athletes in question have been suspended pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation. We have no other information to share at this time.”

Many details of the situation are still unknown at this time and Sooners Wire will continue to provide information on this developing story as they come.
