The Texas Tech and Duke men’s basketball teams are scheduled to meet in the 2022 NCAA Tournament Round of 16 on Thursday, March 24. 

No. 3-seeded Texas Tech entered the tournament at 25-9 overall.

In the Round of 32, Texas Tech defeated Notre Dame 59-53.

Prior to that game, Texas Tech beat Montana State 97-62 on March 18 in the Round of 64 of the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

Guided by first-year head coach Mark Adams, the Red Raiders finished the 2021-22 season with an overall record of 23-8, including 12-6 in conference play. 

Notable Texas Tech basketball wins during the 2021-22 regular season came against nationally-ranked Texas and Baylor — in fact, the Red Raiders swept both teams.
